S3 "Managing Data Growth in Life Sciences" Seminar

Determining how to best manage large life sciences data stores has become a significant challenge for industry researchers and the IT professionals supporting them. With this in mind S3 announced their 1st Annual UK event to identify progressive ways in which to “Manage Data Growth in Life Sciences” and it proved to be a great success.
The event illustrated to attendees how to tackle the problems of where to store, when to access and how to archive data associated with the life sciences research community.
The event was hosted at the Wellcome Trust Conference Centre, Hinxton, Cambridge and included a guest presentation from Phil Butcher, Head of IT, Sanger Institute, one of S3’s long standing life science and research customers.
S3 provide scalable, high performance, pay as you grow solutions, specifically designed to effectively store, secure and manage rapdily growing stores of file-based information, such as sequence and biomedical research data.
Selected partners delivered presentations focused on the specific life science and research environment.
