Genome Content Management Symposium – Eagle Genomics & S3
10/04/12 | in: Event Roundup
Thursday 29th March 2012 saw S3 exhibit at the second annual symposium on the future of bioinformatics, following on from 2011’s successful event. The 2012 event was held at Babraham with the title “The Next 10 Years of Genome Content Management”. The keynote speaker was Tim Hubbard, Head of Informatics at the Wellcome Trust/Sanger Institute.
This one-day symposium heard from various experts from industry and academia on how they are applying the principles of genome content management to their own data sets. The focus was on analysing and annotating large volumes of data to turn it into information, and presenting that information to the end user to enable hypotheses to be made and theories proposed.
